Dear Prospective Graduate Research Students, 

It is my pleasure to invite you for upcoming information sessions about our Master by Research and PhD programme at the Department of Social Work. The information session will be an excellent opportunity to learn about the Graduate Research Programmes that we have to offer, meet with current and past Research students, and discover the benefits of pursuing a Graduate Research Programme with us.

The National University of Singapore (NUS) offers a global and Asian experience that is broad, deep and rigorous. An NUS education is recognised as among the best in Asia, and the world. Whichever graduate programme students choose, their experience will be intellectually fulfilling within and outside the classroom.

You may be glad to know that for the Master by Research programme, applicants with an NUS Honours degree (at least Second Class Upper) in Social Work do not require any work experience to meet the entry requirement, to find out more on the entry requirements you may click here.

For entry into the PhD programme, applicants will need to have a good Masters degree in Social Work or an NUS Honours degree (at least Second Class Upper) or equivalent in Social Work, subject to approval on a case-by-case basis. You may refer to the entry requirements here.

We are having a Zoom information session which will take place on 6th July 2023, Thursday from 6:30pm – 8:00pm. During the session, you will have the chance to find out about the research interests and areas of expertise of our faculty members, the application process, available Scholarships, as well as the opportunity to engage in conversation with our current Graduate Research students and Alumni about their research experiences.
