- Prof. Seong-Ook Jung’s research about high-σ mismatch model for low power design was accepted for oral presentation in Symposium on VLSI Technology, the most renowned journal on device and circuit field. This research was made by Ph.D. candidate Tae Hoon Choi, professor Seong-Ook Jung of VLSI system lab., and Samsung Electronics Foundry Division.

- Prof. Yu research team published a paper in Nature Biomedical Engineering
- Prof. Yu research team invented the world first large-area MRI compatible electrode arrays for epidermal electrophysiology, deep learning for the detection of acute intracranial haemorrhage, and an inexpensive assay for the classification of cancer patients. Large-area electrode arrays for epidermal electrophysiology offer new possibilities for the control of prosthetic devices and the monitoring of brain functions with high spatio-temporal resolutions. The results were published in world prestigious journal, Nature Biomedical Engineering, and the article is selected as Front Cover Art of the issue.

- The paper of Prof. Kwang Soon Kim’s research team, “Ultrareliable and Low-Latency Communication Techniques for Tactile Internet Services” has been published in the Proceedings of the IEEE (IF 9.1), which proposed novel ultra-reliable low-latency communication techniques for B5G and 6G. This research was carried out by Prof. Kwang Soon Kim (first and corresponding author). And Prof. Dong Ku Kim, Prof. Chan-Byoung Chae, and Ph.D student Jonghyun Kim are participated.

- Prof. Kwang Soon Kim’s research on B5G communication for distributed machine learning is funded by the National Research
- Prof. Kwang Soon Kim’s research on B5G joint mobile-communication/machine-learning technology is funded (0.8 billion KRW during 4 years) by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF). The research aims to realize a real-time distributed learning/inference among an edge server and many fast-moving objects in B5G mobile communication networks for future ICT services.

- Prof. Jaeseok Kim Received 2018 Yonsei University Award for Best Achievement Professor in Volunteer
- Professor Jaeseok Kim of our department won the Yonsei University Volunteer Award in 2018. For the past 13 years since 2005, he have provided free lecture service, educational equipment and laboratory equipment donation, research funding and scholarship to steadily improve the IT education of Mongolian Huree ITC. Through this, he showed the service and volunteer of the spirit of Yonsei In addition, he donated the computer lab in the IT university of Brunei Paso, Africa, gave scholarships to Phnom Penh University of Cambodia, and provided IT lecture to practicing the founding philosophy of Yonsei University.
