- DSP&AI Research team led by Professor Hong-Goo Kang has published a paper titled "Perfect Match: Self-Supervised Embeddings in Cross-modal Retrievals“ on IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Signal Processing (JSTSP) which is one of the most influential journals in signal processing research field (Impact Factor 6.688, JCR Electrical & Electronic Engineering Ranking 7.14%).This study was led by Soo-Whan Chung (first author) and Professor Hong-Goo Kang (correspondence), and was collaborated with one of top speech research teams in Korea, Naver Clova Speech.

- Dr. Mingu Kang, Employment of Professor at UCSD
- Dr. Mingu Kang is employed as Assistant Professor of Electrical Computer Engineering (ECE) department at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Dr. Mingu Kang received a bachelor’s degree at Yonsei University in 2007, and received a master’s degree from VLSI System Laboratory (Prof. Seong-Ook Jung) in 2009. After working for the PRAM design team at Samsung Electronics, Dr. Mingu Kang received a Ph.D degree at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC). As a Research Staff Member at IBM TJ Watson Research Center, he has been actively involved in machine learning accelerator research.

- “Power System Research Center for Great Energy Transition (PREFER)” (PI: Prof. Park, Jung-Wook) is selected as the 2020 Leading Researcher Program supported by National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) and Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT). - Prof. Seo’s group (BioLogical Interface and Sensor System lab, BLISS) member Yeontaek Lee granted a program as a specialized lab for business start-up supported by Ministry of Science and ICT, and Ministry of Education. This program aids R&D funding for promising technologies, and development of technology commercialization to promote lab-based business start-up. - Prof. Yu research team published a paper in “Science Translational Medicine” (IF: 17.161)
- Prof. Yu research team have demonstrated the ability to implant an ultrathin, flexible neural interface with thousands of electrodes into the brain with a projected lifetime of more than seventy years. Research team successfully implanted a 64-electrode neural interface into a rat for over a year and a 1,008-electrode neural interface into the motor cortex of a monkey. The results were published in the prestigious journal, “Science Translational Medicine.“ (Impact Factor: 17.161)
